The K-plan diet

by kirky @ 2008-07-02 - 16:52:14

I'm getting a bit podgy around the middle.
Not too bad for a man of my age, but then, not too good either.
Due to the dog, I exercise... a bit and my diet is all right, with plenty of fruit and vegetables.
So, bar joining a gym or becoming a vegan, there's nothing much I can change.
My plan therefore is to alter my eating habits outside the home.
No more fast or cafe food for lunch. (Unless I'm meeting friends or family.)
A 28-inch waist by Christmas!

Isn't that called ballroom dancing?

Eat big breakfast, medium lunch, snack supper. Everything you eat early in the day gets used that day, everything eaten later is stored, and once stored it may not get used soon enough so adds to your waist....

The western diet pattern with big evening meal eaten late is a major cause of being overweight.

'Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.'
Good advice, but as you say, completely against the western eating philosophy.
